Finally, after months of trying on our end, Flora made the ASL sign for more! All it took was a little taste of hot, buttered toast and her longing for … more. We’re hoping the more sign will replace her usual pointing and grunting, at least her pointing and grunting while eating. Now if we could just figure out how to phase out the pointing and grunting altogether.
Oh, and if you’re wondering why my posts are few and far between these days, it’s because Flora is crawling and exploring all over the place and I can’t take my eyes off of her for a second!
We couldn’t resist…we had to go on-line and see what the sign is. Now we are well versed in one ASL word. What a conversation we will be able to have with Flora!
Awwww. . . pointing and grunting? Too cute! Maybe not so girly, but cute none the less.
It’s so cute when Flora puts her two little fingers together. Sometimes she claps first and then taps the ends of her fingers together. Last night when I put her to bed, she looked up at me made the ‘more’ sign. I thought she might be asking for more time to stay up and play, but likely she wanted some more cheese crackers or puffs.
So Adorable! She may have wanted to spend “more” time with you watching Late Night TV???
